Name:From the Greek αγκυλός ("ankylos") for "curved", in allusion to its usually rounded and distorted crystal shapes, plus the "-(Ce)" suffix due to cerium being the dominant REE in the composition.


The strontium analogue of Calcioancylite-(Ce). The cerium analogue of Ancylite-(La).
