A subgroup of calcium and strontium phosphate minerals within the Apatite Supergroup.

"Apatite" is the generic name for the members of the series and group which have not been differentiated into specific species through analytical methods and was the name commonly used in the past. Older synonyms for undifferentiated apatites are listed under the Apatite file.
