Copper after Cuprite with Silver
As recorded:
Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Deposit, Western Siberia, Russia
29mm x 25mm x 20mm
Intergrown octahedrons of Copper that have nearly completely replaced earlier Cuprite crystals (just a touch of Cuprite is visible). Complete all around and undamaged. Small areas of Silver are aso present giving it added appeal. This is an exceptional specimen as mostof these have a coarser appearance due to larger subcrystals of Copper. The finess of the Copper leads to a much sharper crystal.
