Description
Superb sceptered amethyst crystal from this unusual locality. The crystal has fine color in the top of the "cap" and is transparent to translucent. It also exhibits the iron staining characteristic of the locality. Ex. Crystal Classics, Terry Szenics, with Terry's label. Although the locality is not on MinDat, it is mentioned in the Handbook to the Mineralogy of Cornwall and Devon by Joseph Henry Collins, page 87, 1876 edition. The text of this book is available through Google Books. 7.3 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm.
