Description
So this is not the prettiest specimen, but it is a rather unusual example of Congolese azurite, consisting of a miniature sized nodule of the mineral. For all the tons of malachite for the country—all the specimens, stalactites, carvings and boxes—one almost never sees azurite. I do not know the reason for this (and I’m sure one of you can provide an explanation—drop me an e-mail and I’ll post it here)
