A large choice loose glassy translucent reddish-brown single octahedral crystal of microlite measuring 17 x 15 x 13 mm in size. This is a superb large high quality example of this uncommon species! To my naked eye this is perfect; with a 10x loupe I can find very slight tiny minimal microscopic chipping on some crystal edges. Overall a superb little crystal. I am told that it is possible that these are stannomicrolite, but more work needs to be done. These are rich in tin. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 31: 6.
