Try <b>format</b> for your bold. Also... You need a photo caption and to close the picture element with </pic> so <pic id=1234>My Pic</pic> will work.

Thanks Jolyon; Perhaps that needs clarifying at http://www.mindat.org/format_help.php for those like me who are not familiar with HTML
