TGMS 2008 - The Alma Rose

The Alma Rose was found at the Sweet Home Mine, Colorado during the 1992 mining operations by Sweet Home Rhodo, Inc. It is 45cm tall and is currently in the Rice North Western Museum of Rocks and Minerals. The specimen consists of red rhombs of Rhodochrosite on Quartz coated with Siderite on some faces.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have always been partial to the Alma Rose over the Alma King. May be just me but there you go.:~)
