Goldpanning in Low Tatra mts.

Last Updated: 13th Dec 2010

In May 2009 I was try to pan gold in the Low Tatras mountains. I hid between the villages of Malužiná and Nižná Boca alluvial sediments in river Bocianka. After the spring floods Bocianka carved out a new bed, which revealed the old sediments. The content of gold in the alluvium I was in the range of 3 to 30 grains (size grains 0.0X - 3 mm) to about 10 liters of gravel. Their low working demonstrates the closeness of the primary source. For 3 hours so I got about 0.1 grams of gold. Then I stumbled upon a great stone and I did not force or time to dig in second place. It would be interesting to use the gold dredge.

Interesting site, definitely still here Sometimes I choose to try gold mining fortune.
