Working the Tripp Mine, August
15th Sep 2010
One of Toveco’s 2010 goals was to be working in the main pit this season. It’s not going to happen this year. This task will be pushed to the 2011 mining season. The main reason was the quality of the Wayne/Lee (W/L) entrance peg. I just could not work this area because of the quality of the beryl crystal it is producing. There for to efficiently work the W/L entrance I had to bit the bullet and start dropping the entrance road grade into the W/L. I have stayed away from this area because it consists of all schist. It cost the same to break and move schist as good peg. There for doing this task was a real pain and added cost & time to getting access to the W/L good peg. As always this task took longer then planed. We are just starting to work the area again and will finish the 2010 mining season working this area. I look forward to a fun time I and the crew will have working W/L entrance.
I will be working the Rhinebeck Show 9/18-19/10 Rhinebeck NY. So if in the area come visit.
That’s it for now
