Merry Christmas from Tvedalen!

22nd Dec 2007

Last trip to Tvedalen before the Christmas celebration, but for sure not the last trip during the holyday!

They had blasted a lot since last time I visited the Tuften Quarry (A/S Granit). Also some areas rich in pegmatite, but the ice that was so nice last weekend was getting pretty thick. I couldn’t se what was plain larvikite and what was pegmatite… I hope it was the Tuften Gnome that caused the ice wrapping, and that when I go back next time there will be hundreds of small cavities filled with rare and beautiful minerals…

The Tuften Gnome?

I made my last preparations for the holyday, and Santa knows what I want!

Please Mr. Santa...

I want to wish all the readers of my blog a Merry Christmas!

Ah, the traditional Christmas mineral collector's sock, hung with care on the quarry face!
