My name is Jon, Im currently working to map out different mines in my area. Im no expert, but I have a keen interest for mining history here in Arendal, NORWAY. I will do my best to take pictures and update the status of the mines.

Hi, Jon. I love your work here on mindat. I am also a keen rock collector, and I love to explore all sorts of mines. That may be because I am a dwarf. My short legs make narrow cave exploration ideal for me. And because of my condition I have found some sweet minerals. I once had the pleassure of exploring the thorbj├Árnsbu mine, but it was, at the time, only 4 meters long, so I had to digg down for my minerals, but I dug too deep...
