Jolyon Ralph's Blog

All the new stuff is live!

10th Oct 2007

Well, some of you knew this already, but I've been spending the last 2 months or so working on a whole raft of new things for mindat, mostly relating to improving (dramatically!) the ease of uploading photos, but also to make it easier for people to put their collections, interests and thoughts online.

So here is part of the new system, the mindat Blog. You can write your own blog (an online diary, collection of thoughts, notes on your collecting trips, use it as you will) and share it with other mindat.org users.

Have fun!

I like the new way of adding photos - the search and drop down boxes are great! It helps with trying to pull up the right location.
I don't particularly care for blogs as I don't use them but that's just me! ;) They have a tendency to be nothing more than one sided message boards (unless you're able to leave responses and it just becomes a regular message board). I would say leave that space available for photos and info. Just my 2 cents.
