Saturday trip to Sagåsen and Tvedalen
Had to get out in the wonderful weather, was about 19C in the sun.
First stop was , to see if there was anything left from the blast 2 weeks ago. Of course everything was gone, and taking the tour around the dumps didn’t pay off either. But here is a photo of the pegmatites the material was found in:
Block being cut by wire saw, the pegmatites carrying cancrinite and other minerals can bee seen in upper part of the rock face
Next stop was Tuften in Tvedalen, first looking through level 4, 3 and 1, in
A/S Granite quarry, but nothing to find. All the interesting material from level 1 have now gone to the dumps or the crusher. Then I took the trip to , nothing of interest there either.
Last stop was Arent Quarry (got to add this quarry to Mindat!), also here it was nothing to find. So only specimen to make a photo of to share with you are these three "Tussilago farfara", bringing the message of an early spring:
Spring is here! I hope...
