AA Mineral Specimens update

3rd August 2008

It has been a while since we posted a news item on Mindat. We've been buried in the bowels of bedding down our new user-friendlier website, but we have now re-surfaced.

This week amongst our new stock we have some very pure azurite crystal clusters from china.

There are a couple of highly unusual clusters of calcite crystals from Hunan, China.
Very attractive, unusual and interesting.

Also check out the rhodonites from both Peru and Brazil. You will find the differing habits interesting and instructive. Compare the delicacy of the Peruvian material with the robust glassiness of the Brazilian.

We also have a good specimen of Gemmy red Realgar with bright yellow Orpiment from the Paloma Mine, Huancavelica, Peru. The specimen displayed is mounted on a matrix of galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite.

You will see more regular updates from here on.

Best wishes
Bruce and Susan
