If you are still around I would appreciate some information. I am a Canadian living in Roma. I am an avid
rockhound and gemmologist. I would appreciate finding out the name of the university that has the tourmalines.
I would also appreciate any information you may have about mineral collecting in Italy.

I am looking forward to visiting some of the caves of Italy, but would enjoy doing some fossil and mineral
collecting too.

Since 3 years I'm living in Zurich, so I moved from Italy.
Nonetheless, as soon as I'm back for holidays, I will certainly try to have a couple days for mineral collecting. So, we will be able to collect something together.
In Tuscany there are a lot of mineral collectors. The ones I know are quite keen to show you mineral places where you can collect.
