Hello,

I purchased this from a local mineral dealer/friend last year and will be moving shortly and dont want to take an specimen of this size with me. It is a large quartz/geode/pocket from Wenshan, Yunnan Provence, Western China towards Tibet. A beautiful display piece with beautiful sprays of quartz crystals.

The piece measures 15 inches wide, 7 inches high, 8 inches deep. Dont have the weight at the moment but is quite heavy.

I am interested in swapping for nice unpolished aqua crystal or bi-color Tourmaline crystal.

I also have a sand collection of at least 130 different locations from France, Italy, Whales, Canada, US beaches as well as some samples of mountain gravels from Pinnacle Peak AZ., And gold bearing gravels from Alaska and another area. I also have about 1.5 gallons of florescent gravel/sands from Franklin/Sterling Hill mine in NJ as well as a couple hundred pounds of 3-6lb specimens from there. Also have a larger 25lbs or so specimen. The sands and florescent material was collected by a NJ resident, Ken Borden, from the 1960's to early 2000. I sold my ultraviolet lamp so florescent pictures are not possible at the moment.

Open to swaps on the sands and or Florescents. Thank you.

Fall 2012 Mineral Trade List

1.)	Aeschynite-(Y): Trout Creek Pass District, Chaffee County, Colorado, USA. One large, superb crystal showing unusual morphology (repaired x3) 12 x 7 cm., several smaller 2-4 cm. partial crystals, lustrous broken masses to 5 cm. with albite.
2.)	Uranogummite, Thorite, Synchysite-(Y), Kasolite, Uranophane: South Platte District, Foxton, Jefferson County, Colorado. Colorful specimens from 3 x 2 cm. to large cabinet size, all with rich masses of yellow thorogummite psuedomorphs after thorite crystals, black as well as red thorite masses, and rice-grain like crystals of Synchysite-(Y). Some specimens have yellow-green coatings of kasolite (analyzed) and uranophane, which fluoresces bright green under shortwave U.V Very radioactive with specimens up to 25 mR/Hr.
3.)	Samarskite-(Y): Oregon #3 Pegmatite, Buffalo Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA. Nodules composed of radiating plumose crystals, from thumbnail to cabinet-sized specimens weighing 1+ kilos. All specimens show some crystal form; I have a few superb cabinet-sized specimens showing sharp parallel xl. Growth to several cm. Radioactive.
4.)	Fergusonite-(Y) with Samarskite-(Y) and ‘Cyrtolite’ Zircon: Oregon #3 Pegmatite: anhedral, waxy brown lustrous solid masses, some with overgrowth of small zircon crystals, from 2 x 2 cm. to 10 x 8 cm.
5.)	Bastnasite-(Ce) psuedomorph after Allanite-(Ce): Rich massive specimens showing Bastnasite-(Ce) altering from cores of waxy black allanite; Bastnasite-(Ce) is brick-red fine grained and very rich. One superb large cabinet sized specimen with sharp parallel growth crystals of Bastnasite-(Ce) psuedomorphs to 5 cm.
6.)	Thalenite-(Y) with Allanite-(Ce) and Yttrofluorite: White Cloud Pegmatite, South Platte District, Colorado, USA. Rich massive specimens from 5 x 6 to 15 x 12 cm., with massive grayish-pink Thalenite-(Y) with black veinlets of Allanite-(Ce) and Yttrofluorite; very rare occurrence and mineral.
7.)	Fluocerite-(Ce): Little Patsy Pegmatite, South Platte District, Colorado, USA. Sharp euhedral crystals to 4 cm., some in matrix of reddish albite. Excellent for species.
8.)	Samarskite-(Yb) with Columbite-(Fe) and Zircon: Little Patsy Pegmatite, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA. Rich specimens from 1 x 1 to 5 x 6 cm. from type locality, and as of this writing, only locality for this rare Samarskite-group species.
9.)	Allanite-(Ce): Burroughs Pegmatite, Evergreen, Colorado, USA. Sharp crystals to 10 cm. in feldspar matrix; very fragile and most have been repaired, also specimens with rich disseminated broken crystals in feldspar matrix.
10.)	Fluobritholite-(Ce) and Allanite-(Ce) with monazite-(ce) and yttrofluorite: Rusty Gold Claim, Jamestown, Boulder county, Colorado, USA. Superb specimens in all sizes from this new find from my claim; TRADE ONLY; no sale, a paper on this find and the mineralogy of these unusual granitic REE pegmatite’s is in progress.
11.)	Yttrofluorite: South Platte Pegmatite District, Jefferson County, Colorado. Massive green specimens from miniature to large cabinet; bright yellow-green fluorescence and phosphorescence.
12.)	Fluorite: Sunnyside Mine, Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado. Large cabinet sized group of sharp undamaged green crystals with good luster and minor accenting quartz from this classic old locality.
13.)	Beryl Var. Heliodor: Espirito Santo, Minas Gerias, Brazil. Group of sharp greenish-yellow crystals; 4.5 x 5 cm., minor albite and muscovite crystals at base, from old finds.
14.)	Rhodochrosite: Julia Fisk mine, Leadville, Lake County, Colorado. Cabinet-sized thin plate coated with lustrous pink crystals to 5 mm. on both sides.
15.)	Fluorite and sphalerite: Elmwood, Carthage County, Tennessee. Sharp violet crystals to 5 cm. in a group on crystallized sphalerite and dolomite; minor dinging on one side.

I am interested in most things, just not so much in micros or poor examples of common minerals, nor 'scraps', ie small massive specimens of rare species that are difficult/tentative to identify. I am ok with exchanges to Europe but would like to have some confidence that specimens are worth extra shipping costs etc. Anyways thanks for looking and look forward to hearing from you!

Hey All,
I have some specimens of some unusual REE and Uranium minerals from Colorado and the Western U.S to trade. Rough list is as follows:

1.) Fluorbritholite-(Ce) with Allanite-(Ce), uranophane, fluorite and monazite from my claim, the 'Rusty Gold', near Jamestown in Boulder County, Colorado. Specimens from 2 x 1 to ~25 x 15 cm., very rich and interesting material.

2.) Aeschynite-(Y): crystal fragments and masses, 2 x 1 to 5 x 4 cm., Trout Creek Pass, Chaffee County, Colorado

3.) Pitchblende Uraninite with Zippeite and Uranophane, Golden Gate Canyon, Jefferson County, Colorado. 1 x 1 cm. to cabinet size specimens, very "hot." (mailing may be difficult...)

4.) Fluocerite-(Ce) crystals from .5 x .5 to 4 x 3 cm. and in groups in matrix to cabinet sized: Little Patsy Pegmatite, Jefferson County, Colorado. Excellent older specimens.

5.) Uranothorite psuedomorphs after thorite crystals, South Platte Pegmatite District, Jefferson County, Colorado. Rich specimens up to large cabinet size wit abundant yellow xls. to ~1 cm. in matrix.

6.) Synchysite-(Y) and Thorite, South Platte Pegmatite District, Jefferson County, Colorado. Good specimens to small cab. size.

.... As far as what I am interested in; almost anything, just not the super common nor the ultra-rare in general, or borate/sulfate/zeolite/chemically boring minerals, to stereotype a bit, haha... :) or micros... but there are always exceptions of course.

cheers,

Hi!

My list is now pretty well updated, I do have to enter some more new minerals, but what is gone I hope to have removed.

Check it out: My swap list.

Beside that I have a couple of kristiansenite samples, single crystal on matrix, micro (european standard), from type locality; Heftetjern.

These will be swaped only for good quality micros of rare minerals, that I'm missing in my systematic collection (like liriconite ;-)).

Cheers,
