How to ContributeDe-aka/pka-ing locality entries

5th Aug 2002 16:06 UTCAlan Plante

Hi Jolyon

I know you said not to bother taking the akas and pkas out of existing entries, but on the theory that if they aren't there others won't use them, I deleted them from all the New Hampshire entries yesterday. (I'll get to the other New England states as time allows - Massachusetts probably today.)

Having done it, and replacing them with notes in the description block, I can give you another arguement for using them: It takes a lot longer to type the note than it does to type those codes! :~} (May not seem significant to someone doing an occasional locality input, but for someone doing them by the scores the extra time involved can really mount out...)

Efficiency, kind sir - efficiency!!! :~}

Ah yes, it may be less efficient, but don't you agree it just looks lots better!

:)

Er - No, not really... :~}

(They didn't bother me in the least. Guess it's true there's no accounting for taste - or lack thereof... :~} )
