Techniques for CollectorsRietveld Refinement expert needed

8th May 2012 20:29 UTCJeff Weissman Expert

I may have need for an expert in the field of XRD structure interpretation. At this time, just looking for availability, nothing concrete. If you know of anyone U.S.-based that may be interested, please send me a PM

thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

There used to be a Rietveld group. I don't know if it still exists, but they might be a good source of help. So many of these technical groups have died over the last decade it is depressing.

May have found some help between Univ. of Connecticut and Alfred University; at least they have offered some free analysis - will see how it goes.

I'd also suggest subsribing to Rietveld mailing list (rietveld_l@ill.fr):

I've got an excellent help from many good people all around the world.

I use Rietveld analysis for the purpose of quantitative analysis + degree of crystallinity available with the TOPAS software.

I can try to help, if I'm able to :-)

Best regards!

Luke K.
