Johnstonite (of Chapman)

I am researching minerals named after Scots or Scottish places and I have come across the reference to johnstonite (Chapman) a few times. I checked out the Chapman reference, but it doesn't actually say who "Johnston or Johnstone" is. This surname is quite common in Scotland and I would be interested in finding out who he or she is. Anyone have any info?
