I avoided most of the 2010 Winter Olympics by being out of the country for most of the time. However that smug feeling hasn't lasted long.

The Olympics killed Van Silver!!!

Before the Billion $ Security Theatre closed the Highway to Whistler for the Olympics, it was thought that lots of parking lots would be required for the games at Whistler. So the ore pile at Van Silver was STOLEN by VANOC for a nearby parking lot. All that remains of the Ore Pile is a crater!!! That new parking lot is huge and so the tiny Ore Pile is well lost under a cover of fine gravel in the never used parking lot. :X
