LocalitiesBull Run Quarry, Conklin, Loudoun County, Virginia, USA

Bull Run Quarry in Mindat is in Loudoun Co. adjacent to (west of) Fairfax Co. Bull Run, the place, is in Prince William Co., also adjacent to (south of) Fairfax Co. Bull Run River runs about halfway between Centreville and Bull Run, and could be the divider between each of the Counties. Centreville and Bull Run are about 17 miles (about 27k) apart. Conklin and Bull Run are about 11.8 miles apart (ie: closer). Centreville and Conklin are only 8.7 miles apart (closest).
So, after all that (phew!), I think I am right in saying that this specimen is likely to be Bull Run Quarry, and the Fairfax Co. on the labels is most likely because Ford chose Centreville as the nearest significant town.
Any comments/suggestions welcomed...
Regards
Steve

Bull Run, a run or small stream, not a river, forms the boundary between Fairfax and Prince William Counties. It's also very close to the Centreville Quarry, Fairfax County, which produced some of the best apophyllites in the world.
