I haven't seen many pictures like this, but it was a pleasant news for me! Great to se a collection like this together!

Peter
Thank you, Peter, I did a similar photo for a bunch of small elbaites from the Gillette Quarry also, with close-ups of the different groupings: [www.mindat.org]
Much easier than taking individual photos of all those little crystals!
Harold
Wow! Ceartainly a nice bunch of ct tourmalines. Did you get them as gifts?

"Gem" anything is extreemly rare here in CT. Back in the day they were "rare", today they're just exceedingly rare. Thanks for posting these photos, they are great examples of what was, and what might be. I've been salivating over gemmy beryls from CT, they aren't cheap though, and I'll only get one's with Pedigree, meaning a traceable history.
Sam,

You can see Brack material at my place if you can get back here.

Tony
I got them through many years of going to shows, talking to dealers and going on ebay. The State of Conn. owns it now and there's nothing exposed.
Tony, I'll send you an email from work, so it'll be a different email address.... I'll bring up a Modern Pizza, and some Lucibello's... you just provide some of that good beer... Check your email tomorrow.
I wanted you to know that my sister and I still own the family property on which the old Brack Gem Prospect is located. Since we never gave permission for others to mine the property when it was open, I was startled by the number of samples that you had collected.
Susan:
I guess I was misinformed about the status of the site, thank you for the correction. I have never been to the spot as it is private property. Everything I have I purchased from mineral dealers or other collectors over many years of searching, or from Andy Sloan, who used to cut gems for me and who sadly recently passed away. I heard his former wife is part of the Brack family. My collection from there is actually rather small. Many of the micros shown in the photo gallery occur on the same specimen.
