PhotosAnatase - Piatta Grande, Sondalo, Sondrio Province, Lombardy, Italy

13th Nov 2013 09:39 UTCPaolo Giovanni Biffi

For sure the color of this Anatase crystal is typical for Schisarolo Valley and the shape itself is typical for the best specimens from Schisarolo Valley. In the sense that only a few samples found there have that nice and complex habits, the majority having instead only the "conventional" acute dipyramidal habit.

BUT... Schisarolo valley is close to the Spuga Pass, near Chiavenna and has nothing to do neither with Piatta Grande neither with Sondalo.

Therefore my suggestion is to kindly move the photo under: Schisarolo Valley, Spluga Valley, Sondrio Province, Lombardy, Italy, the correct locality, which was probably created only after the posting of the mentioned photo.

Cheers

Paolo

is good ask to Domenico, for me is not a problem

ciao

si si avevo specificato che : "the correct locality, .... was probably created only after the posting of the mentioned photo",

14th Nov 2013 19:40 UTCMatteo Chinellato Expert

15th Nov 2013 09:14 UTCPaolo Giovanni Biffi
