Need Perfect Name for this quartz

What type of quartz is it? Need Help about its name and form of quartz ..

It's perfect name would be quartz, and form being parallell growing crystals.

Quartz is quartz. That is the mineral name. Any other descriptive name like "cathedral" quartz is only given to enhance the selling potential and to con more money out of those less knowledgeable. There are several accepted varieties mostly based on colours, but cathedral quartz is not one of them. Peter is correct in his identification of parallel growth crystals.

That's a nice name for any specimen of Quartz.

We would call it quartz. If we wanted to describe it a little more, quartz showing some parallel growth would do. You, however are not bound by our suggestions and may call it anything you want. How about galactically encoded ancestor quartz? Thats been one of my favorite names for a while now, what ever that might be.

The IMA, (International Mineralogical Association), with the approval of its various national mineralogical association members, has undertaken the thankless task of trying to ride heard on the can of worms that is often referred to a "mineralogical nomenclature". The general public couldn't care less about the pronouncements or the IMA and has been making up mineral names for centuries to describe all sorts or real and imagined minerals and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Thats the nature of language. About the best Mindat can do is to try and act as one of many mineral dictionaries to try to more or less standardize mineral names. The advantage that Mindat and other on line forums have is that we can discuss these terms and come to some kind of agreement on the meaning or meanings of various names. How wide spread does a new name have to be before it is worthy of inclusion here in mindat, or other dictionaries? Well, that depends on the editors and the publishers of the dictionary. Here on mindat, which is more or less oriented to the scientific method, we are fairly strict and a new metaphysical name has to be pretty wide spread before we will include it here and then the definition will usually be unflattering and try and relate it back to a known and accepted IMA name. The commercial market place is always trying to steal names with a "high value" like diamond to make up names that will hopefully add value to their goods. Herkimer Diamonds anyone?(Quartz). But Herkimer Diamonds is still a usefully name that mineral collectors can use and we all know exactly what kind of quartz it refers to. There are countless other similar examples.

woow thats great information for me... you know i but that type of quartz from a person who is mineralogist and he told me its very expensive and bla bla.. but when i show it here.. all of mindat friend and mineralogists show me what basically it is..

know i am laughing at my self that i believe that person from who i buy ...
