This is my list of the most beautiful Mindat micro photos.
Only one photo per photographer (excuse me for including one of my own, it's a bit awkward, I know...).
If you have a suggestion for a photo to be included please reply in this topic.
Have fun!

One picture may be worth a thousand words, but it doesn't describe the equipment used to capture the images. If it were possible, a description of the equipment used would be as important to me as the images themselves.

This is the photo the inspired me to learn about micro-photography - I have miles to go to be able to achieve these results, but this, and the rest of its companions will continue to inspire.

Terrific idea for a "best of" thread!

Gene, I'll add that later. For most of the photos I have the information here somewhere winking smiley
Maggie, all J-M's photos are very inspiring, but for me his Annabergite is an icon!

Yes Bryan, I like that one very much too, but I already included Bob's Slipfontein photo. I only want one photo per photographer. I could however replace Bob's Slipfontein Carminite with his Analcime, difficult choice, both are great....

Harjo, just want to say thank you so much for this. I linked to it on my facebook page, just so non-mineral friends can see and maybe understand a little better why we all do what we do! Cheers!

Beautiful color photographs, Here is a opal in black and white as an electron micrograph of a specimen from the Rainbow Ridge Mine in Virgin Valley Mining District, Humboldt Co, NV. I mined specimens from many levels and claims for opal formation research by Prof. Mustoe.

Hi Harjo & Maggie,
Thanks you to point out two of my pictures.
They are made to enjoy people by the beauty of microminerals.
I imagine that is the same when a writer meets some of his readers, it is always a pleasure to know that your work is appreciated.
btw, Harjo, I do appreciate a lot your selection, very close to my tastes...
Amitiés à tous et bonnes fêtes de Noël.
