I know I am a bit biased to Australia, also to the colourful lead secondaries, but we could argue such things forever, its still a superb collection and a nice Christmas present to drool over, thanks Harjo.

I second that. I mean, technically I would know how to reproduce all images, except one: the Analcime photo by Volker Betz. This one almost looks like a colored SEM-Image. The depth (I don't mean DOF) and clarity are intriguing.

Harjo,
Thanks for this gallery. It is very enjoyable, and putting it together must have taken some time, since there are so many photographs on Mindat to chose from. It is great to see these selections, based on your excellent knowledge of micro mineral photography, and the consistency of criteria from one knowledgeable person. I was very happy to be included in this group.
For your information, the equipment statement for my photograph would be: Nikon Coolpix 8400; Qioptic/Optem Zoom 125C Optical System consisting of Coupler (25-84-00-02), 1.0X TV Tube (29-90-72), Zoom 125C Zoom Module & Focus (30-61-20 & 30-13-10), and 2.0X Aux Lens (29-20-41); Zerene Stacker.

Volker, I already recognized that and in the same course have browsed your zeolithe images on your website. Very impressive - and it shows once again that one does not need sophisticated equipment to achieve outstanding results. It all boils down to "Know how to use your equipment".
Looking at your set-up, I can see that your lighting is very simple which in the case of the respective analcime image was obviously an advantage. Anyway, very well done.
Cheers
