Congratulations Uwe!

Stu - is there a pdf available?

How rare/common is the new mineral? Given that crystals are so small, how hard are they to tell from (eg) segnitite? Presumably only able to confirm through analysis?

Regards
Steve

I'll post when I have the pdf. EMPA and XRD will be required. Its very rare, although I expect it to become more common once Zn-bearning segnitites are analysed. Although Zn-bearing kintoreite does not have a structure change so beware!

Congratulations, Uwe, Sure, very well deserved!
Sadly there is not a lot of Zn in Les Montmins vein, otherwise I'm sure you will find your first European kolitschite there!
Until now, I was waiting for this AJM issue (n°2 of 2008confused smiley ) with patience, now with this announcement, I'm beginning to be nervous....
Amitiés.
Jean-Marc.

I expect Clara willprobably be the first European occurrence. There are other possibilities too, I thought Les Montmins would be a good possibility - there is good segnitite and sphalerite. Also Karemeza in Greece perhaps!
