Named after Mickey Gunter, outstanding optical mineralogist.

Named after John Hughes, professor of geology at the University of Vermont

For hughesite the formula is: Na3Al(V5+10O28)ยท22H2O.

Unfortunately none of the 2011 approvals have been published yet (Thanks MinMag), but gunterite is 2011-001.
