Mineralogical ClassificationIMA 2015-106 = dioskouriite

9th May 2016 15:38 UTCŁukasz Kruszewski Expert

A new Ca-Cu chloride from Tolbachik. See http://www.mindat.org/min-47598.html.

9th May 2016 18:58 UTCUwe Kolitsch Manager

"Type locality: Arsenatnaya fumarole, Tolbachik volcano, Kamchatka, Russia."

should not be part of the general description.

Instead add "(TL)dioskouriite" to the mineral list of the type locality with the appropriate ref.

Then the mineral will automatically be listed as having the correct type locality.

OK, will do. Thanks for the tip.

Hi. I've tried that but it does not work. Likely due to my status being "+2".

10th May 2016 01:25 UTCAlfredo Petrov Manager

I always put the (TL) after the mineral name - Dioskouriite(TL) ...maybe it works both ways.

You may be able to do it manually: add the mineral, then tick the box "type locality" (if you see it - maybe only managers see it).
