Some very interesting images here.
Here is an interesting Gold nugget I found in northern Oxford county Maine last Summer. It is 1 CM in size. To me it looks like a curley haired girl, with a frilly dress, sitting and playing a flute. Reminds me of my daughter Sarah. Always like gold nuggets especially if I find them myself.
What do you think ?

Here is Dolly Parton #2 minus a head. My geology professor always said calcite has perfect cleavage, now I understand. Specimen is 3.5 x 3 cm. Calcite self collected from quarry in Black Rock, Arkansas.

Here is one of my all time favorites. This was in someones display case at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Club show this year. I was really in a hurry and forgot to write down who the case belonged to so unfortunately I cannot give them credit for such a fabulous specimen. They had a wonderful display. This was labeled "Pyrite Dog" but I would have called it a Llama since it is from Peru .
. I would truly love to put this one in my pyrite collection, but doubt they would sell. I posted this one a different thread but I thought it was a good fit for this one. If anyone know who this belong to, let me know.
Enjoy
