This angry looking character appeared (thanks to interesting reflections of the lighting) when Willard Perkin let us photograph part of his collection. What do you see? Proustite, ChaƱarcillo, Chili

To go with all of the dogs previously posted, here's my favorite pooch: Rhodochrosite on Quartz, Colorado. (Willard Perkin's well known Scotty Dog)

Hi all,

Very funny topic.

Here's my giant jaw rabitt from the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie who killed all the knights in the cave. Only in the movie he is white and here he is in pure gold and dont killed anyone, yet.

I collected this obsidian and perlite "monkey head" in March of 2009 in Superior, AZ. Not quite a polar bear, but . . . smiling smiley

Funny thread - hadn't seen it in a while. Here's our copper snail.

Here is a piece of Copper from the Laurium Mine in Houghton, MI that looks like a running rabbit.

Another dragon, quartz & pyrite from Spruce Ridge, King Co., WA. Pyrite cube is 1.9 cm. I'm fond of quartz plates that seem able to walk away.

Another walking quartz, off the animal topic, known as the Robot. Stands on its quartz legs, supported by a cubic pyrite tush. 8 cm high.
