Any mineral dealers around Ottawa, Canada?

I've got a few extra hours to spend in and around Ottawa today. Anyone know of any rock shops around?

You might consider this locality to collect. Not sure of its present status though.

A bit off topic but does anyone know what happened to the dealer W.D. Christianson in Barrie (I believe?)---he formerly was a major presence and I still have some of his lists, etc. and used to order from him mail order.

Bill died many years ago -at least ten. His wife carried on the business at shows for many years but has since stopped.

That was actually Bill Christianson Jr., his Dad, Bill Christianson, was also a collector and actually outlived the son, if I remember correctly..Bill Jr. died at a relatively young age of a heart ailment!
In his role as a teacher in Barrie, he encouraged many a young collector that passed through his tutelage, and one of those, was the well known dealer of Canadian Minerals,[ formerly of Edmonton and now of Nova Scotia]........... Rod Tyson, of Tyson's Fine Minerals.

Hello all,

I would like to join in on the conversation.
While going through my collection again, I found out that my specimen of Gagarinite-(Y) (which I bought from Rik Dillen a few years ago at the Minerant mineral fair in Antwerp (Belgium)), was traded by Rik from a W.D. Christianson in 1977 in Canada.

Would this have been Bill Junior or Senior?

Hello Vik:

Bill Christianson passed away in the early 80s. His widow kept the buisness going for over two decades thereafter. I believe she has since passed as well.
