Wow, great contributions everybody!
Here's the best (or at least the biggest) celestine from a pocket I opened up at the May CCFMS trip to Dundas:
I was able to piece together around half a dozen long "chains" like this out of the pocket.

Love anything for Silver Islet.
Speaking of silver its about time i show some. Can't forget about the rich silver history we have!. (:P)
Here is a silver leaf glacial float that i recently acquired. It is 8.5 x 5 x 1 cm at its thickest point. Found around Nipissing hill. Nice & heavy piece. Been wanting a float like this for some time, they area rare to find.
Michael.

I thought I would share a nice cm size spinel from Perth , Ontario..got it in a trade with a collector from Ontario and considered it a great little coup because of it's clean lines and gemmy interior...not that common for Canadian Spinels, at least the ones I have seen.

That's a sweet sharp spinel, Ray - Reiner and I will likely target Perth and environs next summer to see what we can "dig up".
This is one of my favourite silver specimens from the Nipissing 404 in Cobalt - collected in 2009 - it's a thumbnail - click on the photo for details and additional views.

With apologies for the picture quality of this older photo...this is a prize piece that is about 3 cm across from Mount St Hilaire, from ages ago...a Leifite on Serandite...nice combo of colour and contrast....if only the pic was better you could really really appreciate it...But...oh well

Nice pieces Ray! A gemmy spinel from Perth? Looks like I'll be planning another visit to the area too (don't worry Maggie, I'll save you some :) maybe we can work out a trade for some of that great silver)!
I need another Dundas celestine like I need a hole in the head, but I just couldn't resist this one - my most recently repatriated specimen:
Now the debate begins: do I remove that great hand-painted number that's obscuring the termination (who would do such a thing in the first place)? Probably not, at least for now, but I'll let you know when it arrives.

Ray, what a great specimen!
I guess that it is acceptable to post to this thread, even if I have never learned how to pronounce "eh" correctly? >:D<
Siderite with synchisite and albite, Mt. St. Hilaire. Overall size: 10x10x8 cm.
Great thread, Maggie.
Cheers!
Steve

Where is Pugwash. Its a locality not on mindat. Even from Barbers Hill Salt Dome (Barbers Hill), Mont Belvieu, Chambers Co., Texas, USA a one cm crystal is a monster and yours is very sharp. Please enter the locality into mindat and upload the picture.

When Reiner was up north working in Matachewan this year, I was able to join him for a few days - we collected at the Glendinning property, a recently closed baryte concern. Every now and again we came across pods of this cranberry red haematite. We brought home a couple of buckets-full for our friend who will make pigment from the stuff.
additional photos if you click on the picture.
