Hi all,

Very nice specimens, thanks for shearing.

Bob, I had it a few times also. I had it on other topics too.
I just submit again untill it turns off again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and best regards.

Paul.

Here's a specimen that is pretty rare....and my favorite today.

Aragonite
Tom Scott Mine, Turquoise District (Courtland-Gleeson District), Dragoon Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

137 x 103 x 91 mm overall. This large dendritic Aragonite is from the lesser known Tom Scott Mine, just adjacent to the Defiance Mine in the town of Gleeson, Arizona. Multiple stalactitic forms are lightly copper stained giving the specimen a nice bluish cast. From the Ron Gastil collection, this specimen was acquired by him in the mid 1970s.

I am beginning to believe this is one of my favorites every day....

Linarite, Quartz, Mottramite
Chance Mine, Mono Co., California, USA

This is the best specimen to come from the commercial mining effort completed in 2004 by John Seibel, Steve Perry and myself when I owned the mining claim. The specimen is 11.9 cm in its longest dimension, and the largest linarite is a complex crystal group approximately 4 cm in length. This one I decided to keep.

Amazing minerals everyone, really a delight to see what you enjoy as your favorite of the day!
I had the pleasure of hosting an Aussie this week, so got to hear a bit about being a collector in Australia. Trevor Kitto, he's gone on to Tucson now. His being here made me stop and enjoy a shelf of Smithsonite that we put together a while ago. Here is that photo, a group of various pieces. Enjoy.

I've always liked this little pyrite from the Leonard Mine, Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana. Circa 1960's. 4 cm tall.

Today's favorite is a new acquisition from Tuscon...

I just couldn't pass up this cute 1.2 mm sperrylite from Dave Joyce's recent offering. What fun to photograph! Lustrous crystals are challenging to photograph.

Very collectible Indiana calcites are widespread in many quarries and also in geodes. This 6 cm x 6 cm honey colored calcite is typical for those found in the Berry Materials Quarry, North Vernon Indiana. The quarry was a long time favorite for Indiana calcite collectors until operations largely ceased there several years ago. Not positive, but the site may now be extinct.
