Check out the pattern on this crystal I dug last week down in Georgia, USA
1/2 mile from Jackson Crossroads amethyst mine
This one grew right up next to a zoned peg.

Intriguing specimen Jason!
I can see a small pictograph of a totem pole showing a human head with an alien head above it. Left of vertical line, bottom center of photo.
I shall ask my little friend with the big eyes what it means next time I see him.smiling smiley

Simply growth-inhibited crystals. (The flat surface was another crystal/mineral, now brocken away or dissolved, that blocked the growth of the smaller crystals).
