Hi Jim

I do get the idea! Nice specimen. How big is the piece? Knowing how heavy barite can be, it's hard to judge scale.

Neat piece, Jim! Those things are heavy! Over the summer I picked one up from the same location that's about 14 inches by 12 inches and up to 6 inches thick - thought I was gonna do myself a mischief!!!! Don't really collect big stuff but it was a cheap clearance piece.

Hey Jim,
By any chance did you get that from Indian Head Rock? Been there a few times and that stuff is EVERWHERE. Can take a step without finding Golden Barite which would explain why spent hours there each time ha ha ha.....although that specimen you found is huge.
