Good Morning!

I have several natural specimens of Vanadinite in matrix. They appear to have a thin brown coating over the crystals. How would I clean these??

Hard to tell without pictures.

In many cases the coatings cannot be removed without destroying the crystals.

The thin brown coating on moroccan Vanadinites that I am familiar with is Barite and I know of no way to remove it. John S.
