Hi Jolyon

At home, I use Firefox so don't get the 'You are using an outdated browser' message, but at work, I am limited to Explorer 6 and when I do go into Mindat at work (when I have the time), its a pain. Our screens are not that big. I can't do anything about it as our PCs are locked down. Any chance that you could detect whether the message has already been displayed for a particular IP address and then not display it again (at least for a session)?

Regards
Steve

If it wasn't a pain it wouldn't encourage people to upgrade!

I know you have no control over what happens at work, but there are still too many people using IE6 and future updates I do on mindat will NOT work with IE6. In fact, we haven't supported IE6 officially for nearly 2 years.

I've just thought of a solution for the problem for you for now.

Ok. If I've done it right the message should only now appear for people who have not logged in.
