I'm heading down the central California coast and thinking of stopping along the way to look for Jade at Jade Cove or other spots. Anyone have an advice or ideas? I will not be SCUBA diving for large boulders, just stopping briefly to poke around.

I stopped there once on a road trip a couple of years back. I found interesting rounded green serpentinite like rocks but no jade. Nice place. I would not want to play with the waves or currents by scuba diving though.
