The success of Cash and Treasure is evident by our reactions. It is called comercial television for a reason. The producers create something they hope convinces network executives that eyeballs will be on the tube when the comercials appear. They hopefully hire people with a genuine interest in gems but let's face it, these are not really educational programs. Generally TV shows and commercials do not have to be accurate or true. Their only purpose is to make us pay attention to them in hopes we throw some money their way some day. Enjoy what you can and leave the rest.

Here is a great hint for people looking to make a comment on a thread.

Take a look at the last comment. Was it OVER TWO YEARS AGO?

Well then, if it was, take a look at what you want to post. Does it add anything NEW to the conversation? Does it warrant taking a dead horse and beating it some more?

Anyway, nice to see this tired old thread being reactivated. The show was canceled, I do not see reruns of it and people are now safe from the greed and gateways to injury supplied by this show.

Well, not completely safe. Videos of the show are are available. I think the biggest draw to the show was the rather attractive female host, not the minerals she was"collecting". I also think the premise that you could get rich by collecting minerals etc., at mostly public collecting sites was a lot of "bunk" to put it mildly.
