Blade recommendation for Raytech 4"
June 30, 2011 12:43AM
Hi
I recently bought at auction a working older Raytech 4" diamond saw model AL -4S with foot speed control.
I only paid $5.00 so I figured it was worth the time spent to clean it up and remove the rust.
I am hoping to use it to trim small mineral specimens as opposed to lapidary work.
It currently has a spring steel blade that is badly nicked and must be replaced.
Can you recommend a economical general purpose blade or must I stay with the spring steel?
What kinds of materials can I cut with a saw of this type?
Thanks in advance
Greg Kokolus
PS What about cutting lubricants?
