Techniques for Collectorsold DIAMANT BOART Blade
30th Jun 2011 10:27 UTCMichel Ambroise
40 years ago, my father purchased directly from the mining company he was working for in Niger some diamond blade.
He also have the chance to buy the machine but sold it because the machine works with a 360 volt.
We still have three blade from Diamant Boart SA, brussels Belgium.
I can read on the packaging this: bursting test 250 LBS per SQ inch !!!
The diameter is 30 cm and the axe hole is 16 mm.
Does anyone have any idea how to use this blade?
What machine cans be usefull?
Do you think that a 40 years old blade can be dangerous?
I read with lot of interest the information given by knowlegeable cutter because i would like also start cutting and polish stone.
Do you think, i still can use this blade.
Thanks for any answer
Michel

I finally decided to search the name on internet and find out that diamant boart still exist under the husqhvarna company.
The first technician i talk with seems to be confident about the diamond blades like you are Rock.
He also explain to me that it may be possible to use it with a tile saw of profesionnal quality.
I am waiting next week to call some one from the company for more information about their products and about the saw blade that i have.
Thanks to you
Michel
