Anyone recognize this?

I have just received this machine from a friend who knows nothing about it ( inheritance ).
The label on the top reads " Star Diamond Industries USA " it has from left to right :-

diamond saw attachment
6 inch rough diamond grinding wheel
6 inch fine silicon carbide grinding wheel
6 inch expanding rubber wheel for different grades emery of belts
6 inch felt buffing pad

All driven by an electric motor with pulley belt drive.

If anyone recognizes this machine do they know the model name/number or how to service it?

I have read that Star Diamond was acquired by Barranca Diamond.

Looking at their web site this looks pretty similar:

by the looks of it it is a combo machine for cabbing
Not much to it.
Make sure that your tubing is in good shape without leaks. Lubricate the motor if required. Check your diamond blade that it doesn't catch in the slot..
Check if your wheals, looks like carbide, are ok, connect your water source and off you go.

Hi Mike and Boris.

The manual was spot on for this machine so have downloaded it for future reference.

Have checked over the whole machine all hoses in working order, before it was put into winter storage in the garden shed ( today -15C here ) having removed the axle and wheels for warmer storage indoors.

Found a supplier for replacement parts here in norway " Grenland Stein Hobby " so when it gets warmer will try some cabbing.

In addition to what Boris advised, check the carbide wheel to see if it has any cracks. You can strike it litely with a small rod it see if it will give a "ping" or ringing sound and not a thud. If it is cracked, it could be a danger to use. Also the expandable drum is for silicon carbide belts if you are going to use it for lapidary, not emery. I would also replace the felt with leather rawhide. Felt generates a lot of heat and could ruin a nice stone.
