Hello everyone!
Just a quick background: I metal detect for gold nuggets in Arizona, USA :
Recently, I have come across an area that I have detected (what appears to be) silver. They are very nice looking with natural crystal development throughout. For goelogic purposes I will say that copper and gold nugets are also found in the same area.
The one one the left is 4cm long and 2cm wide and weighs 18 grams. The one on the right is 1-1/2 cm x 1cm wide and weighs3 grams.
So, the question is, do these silver specimens have value to them?

They are certainly worth something if they are natural ( bullion value at least). If they are silver break off a small piece and it should dissolve in nitric acid, with precipitation of white material (AgCl) on addition of a drop of bleach ( or salt ) to the solution. If it doesn't dissolve it could be platinum and be worth a small fortune.
