Money Grubers or road metal valuation

My first impression was that this topic would be very useful one for real mineral specimen valuation and opinion exchange.
That was while back in time. It quickly got more of the "rock hound and rock pile" forum.
Could we have a separate one for showcase worthy specimens and another for "how much my 10 kilo stone is"
It is as annoying as eBay when under rare species you find every kind of agate but no rare minerals.
As a mineral collector I like to talk crystallized mineral specimens, when looking for lapidary material I do not look at Mindat, and when I need some road metal I call my local aggregate quarry not Jolyon or Rock.
