There pictures don't really give a sense of scale, so it's hard to say. Assuming a size of approximately 6 inches, I'd say $10-$20 would be the usual price... there is tons of the stuff around, so as always, it depends where you shop. A wholesaler might sell them for $5, a metaphysical dealer for $30, etc.............

on idenity help..i have taken some more photos.of that sample
i maybe able to post tomorrow..the avg weight of these samples
3/4 to 4 kilos..one with a 12 inch fractured blade..

Perhaps $30 to 40 a kg can buy all of them you want in Brazil. Kyanite as mine run is not fun to clean. A lot depends on how well they are cleaned. If a lot of the quartz is worked out from between the blades so that the kyanite blades are more prominent, those cost more. I have bought nice loose kyanite blades for less than $10 per kg, but now that the US currency is in decline and the Brazilian currency is strong, things are not as they used to be.

hi Rock Currier..thank you.that is about what i paid..with the shipping about the same..i like them...may i ask if you have written on cleaning kyanite..i seem to recall reading an article in the past..i shall do a few more searches on Mindat for the article

I have not written about cleaning kyanite, but you can clean them with the same reagents that you clean quartz with, however I would not use any reagents containing fluorine until you have experimented with it to see for sure how it reacts.
