Are you sure its from Fort Wayne, Indiana? I didn't know they had Celestite there. Wonder if it might be from Ohio. Nice piece $300?

Agree completely with Rock. As far as I know, the Fort Wayne quarry does not have Celestite. That white bladed celestite mixed with the champagne colored fluorite cubes is from a Northwest Ohio quarry, very probably Clay Center. I have self collected identical stuff there on several occasions. And never seen any celestite from Ft. Wayne. As to value, maybe $75 - $150 in my opinion, but would have to see how really good the fluorite crystals are in person. CHEERS.........BOB

ROCKMAN, Don't believe the old label. The matrix is consistent with Clay Center or Genoa Quarry. The fluorite color is more pale yellow, being consistent with Ohio quarries (as Ft. Wayne fluorite is slightly darker and slightly more tan in color) and the white bladed celestite cliches it as NOT being from Ft. Wayne. It is from Clay Center or Genoa quarry in Ohio. Rockman, Bob is spot-on here. There is no way that this specimen originated at the Ft. Wayne fluorite location.

Label confusion is not uncommon. We see fairly often, even in some significant collections where inexperienced staff has been at work.

Decent piece, but far from uncommon, I'd suggest it would sell fairly quick for $75, maybe $90.
