Hello everyone,
I figured we would start out easy so I can learn some basics.
Here are two pieces of Brazil Amethyst, the larger one measuring in at 6”x4.5”x1” and weighing in at 15.8oz. with the smaller one 3”x2” x1-3/4” and 4.8oz.
What would you price these two items at and how did you come up with that price?
Correct me if I’m wrong but from what I have read online the deeper the purple color the more valuable and sought after they are. I would guess the clearer they are would only help too.
Thanks,
-Donny

DONNY Unfortunately you have 2 small pieces of low quality amethyst. The color is pale and not uniform and the crystals are small and the pieces are small, probably removed from low quality much larger amethyst "geodes". These pieces are most often sold in tourist gift shops or low end dealers catering to the casual collector or kids. For value: $10 - $20 at most. Sorry !!!! CHEERS.........BOB

Thanks Bob!
It’s no problem that there cheap. I don’t know if you have seen my post in the general section or not.
My grandfather ran a rock shop in the 70’s. You can’t have all high priced stuff, gotta have things for the kiddos too.
And 10’s and 20’s add up with boxes of the stuff.
Thank you Bob!
