Good idea. Some of the biggest copper mines in Australia were found from secondary copper minerals in wombat diggings, but otherwise they may only interest to micromounters.

Hi Ray,

I was unable to go to Reed Valley where I once found the garnet pebbles on ant hills. Access to this area has become more limited over the past ten years. This route was previuosly open since the 1870's and when I went there a dozen years ago we could drive right through the valley but now we have a heavy gate holding us back. We want our access back and the land too.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner and wish your friend the best.

Thanks,
Thomas Lettier

jwperry@citlink.netMy name is James & can tell you that i do have those "Ant-Hill Garnets". We are the native family that originally was and is the primary caretakers of the area on the Navajo Reservation regarding the items that you speak of... I know quite a few people that claim to have these stones, but alas, I have yet to see them actually come and contact ourselves. feel free to contact me at the listed e-mail address and we'll go from there... best regards

my friend just collects garnets ,and has no medicine bag needs for the garnet. When he thought he wouldn't survive his cancer , he gave away most of his micromount collection, and once he made the decision to LIVE , his cancer apparently stopped growing, so he is a bit of a miracle, but now that he wants to live, he has decided to collect garnets and one kind kept on eluding him, and that was ant hill garnets...hence the request. Thanks for your information. Ray

I tried connecting to your highlighted email address Perry, but the system keeps on spitting it back to me
as not legitimate or something like that..so I will just say that I am interested in talking , perhaps on PM
re some of your native land garnets for my friend. Another couple did already ship some, for which he is most
grateful, but I am intrigued by your message.
